Support Local Businesses During CCME Impact Week and Win Up to $375 in Gift Cards

Corpus Christi is a huge tourist destination. The city employs more than 28,000 hospitality workers, with tourism contributing to 26% of the city’s sales tax collections. All of that leads to a strong economy and community, things that are disrupted when a major storm comes through the area. Hurricane Beryl is the latest of these storms, causing long-term impacts to homes and businesses, like flooding, power outages, and damaged items.

As people are bracing through these storms, they’re not always able to get out to local businesses. For such a tourism-heavy city, the road to recovery is not always easy. The Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and City of Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo announced CCME Impact Week to encourage people to support their local businesses and offer them a boost.

As a bonus, the #CCME social media contest invites visitors and locals to submit photos of their trips to Corpus Christi businesses. The contest, which stands for “Corpus Christi is ME,” aims to highlight all the city has to offer.

And if you’re a regular whiz with a camera (or camera phone), you can score a cool prize. Giveaways include a $125 gift card to a local restaurant, a $125 gift card to a local shop, and $125 to a Corpus Christi attraction.

See the contest’s official rules and check out the various attractions around the city on the official CCME page. You’ve got until July 19 at 2pm to enter.
